  • Watch Kawhi Leonard strip DeMar DeRozan, get dunk to put Raptors up for good

DeRozan is still the most beloved Raptor in franchise history. But with the game on the line, Kawhi Leonard showed everyone why Toronto made the trade. Leonard stripped the ball from DeRozan at midcourt and took it in for a dunk that put Toronto up for good.

  • Report: Raptors offered to trade DeMar DeRozan to Thunder for Paul George last season

Raptors president Masai Ujiri made a bold play last offseason, trading DeMar DeRozan for Kawhi Leonard, who can become an unrestricted free agent this summer. • Spurs fans boo Kawhi Leonard in return to San Antonio

Thursday night was the first time that the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors have faced each other since the massive trade between the two teams sent DeMar DeRozan to Texas and Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to Canada. As you know by now, last season did not go well for Leonard in San Antonio. The nature of how things fell apart between Leonard and the organization has become clearer over time, but the gist of it is that it got pretty wonky between the best franchise in the NBA and the former Finals MVP.

  • Raptors hope to continue dominance over Magic

Kawhi Leonard was the centerpiece of the trade that brought Leonard to Toronto and sent icon DeMar DeRozan to San Antonio. Danny Green was a nice inclusion in the deal, and he is responsible for two of Toronto's league-best 26 wins. One of those wins occurred a little over a month ago in Orlando, and the Raptors will head to Orlando again Friday night looking to continue their recent dominance over the Magic.

  • Kawhi Leonard, retooled Raptors hope to challenge for NBA title

A two-time NBA defensive player of the year, Leonard is eager to show he’s healthy again after being limited to nine games last year because of a quadriceps injury. The Raptors want Leonard at his best right now, so they can push for the Eastern Conference crown, but also hope their new star likes playing in Toronto enough to stick around when he becomes eligible for free agency next summer. Leonard was the biggest splash in a busy offseason for the Raptors, who traded a package including franchise icon DeMar DeRozan to acquire the 2014 NBA Finals MVP from San Antonio.
