  • Spurs president-coach Gregg Popovich says he doesn't know whether he'll retire after season

Spurs president-coach Gregg Popovich said in 2015 he made a commitment to newly signed LaMarcus Aldridge, presumably to coach through the five-year contract he signed in 2014. Maybe Popovich is legitimately undecided about his future. Popovich will coach Team USA in the 2019 FIBA World Cup and 2020 Olympics.

  • Parker has triumphant return as Hornets down Spurs, 108-93

Parker gave them plenty to cheer about, just as he did for 17 seasons with the Spurs. Kemba Walker scored 33 points and Parker enjoyed a triumphant return to San Antonio as the Charlotte Hornets beat the Spurs 108-93 on Monday night, snapping their seven-game home winning streak. Parker had eight points, four assists, three rebounds and no turnovers in his first game back in San Antonio after signing with the Hornets during the offseason.

  • Hornets' Parker makes triumphant return to San Antonio

Charlotte point guard Tony Parker's emotional return to San Antonio on Monday ended with a 108-93 Hornets victory and an ovation from Spurs fans who still consider him one of their own. Parker, of France, won four NBA championships in his 17 seasons in San Antonio, part of the Spurs' famed "Big Three" alongside Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, who forged a deep friendship with the player who arrived in the NBA as a teenager, admitted it would be "weird" to see Parker take the court in the teal uniform of the Hornets.

  • Tony Parker receives warm welcome, surprise visit from French family in return to San Antonio

Tony Parker wearing a Charlotte Hornets uniform in San Antonio on Monday was a strange sight, indeed. The four-time champion with the Spurs made his first NBA appearance as a visitor after spending 17 years in San Antonio that included six All-Star nods and a Finals MVP. While the Spurs faithful tormented Kawhi Leonard up his return trip with the Toronto Raptors, there was nothing but love for Parker, who left town as a free agent last summer as the Spurs looked to revamp their roster.
