  • I still say Jusuf Nurkic and Enes Kanter need a Bobi-and-Tobi like nickname, and I suggest "Nurk n' Turk." #RipCity

  • Last 2 Minute report finds five incorrect calls in final minute of Thunder/Trail Blazers

The NBA released its Last 2 Minute Report reviewing the referees calls from the final two minutes of the Thunder's overtime win against the Trail Blazers Thursday night — a game with serious playoff implications — and it found five officiating errors in the final minute of play. The NBA has worked hard to be more transparent, and not only is that a good thing but it has shown the refs get stuff right far more than wrong, but this game was a tough one. 0:57: Paul George has the ball legally stripped from him, but Jusuf Nurkic has already committed to the air to block the shot when George regains possession.

  • An attempt to explain the final few minutes of OKC's win over Portland

Damian Lillard hit a pair of free throws to tie the game at 111 with 45 seconds to play. Terrance Ferguson then scored on an offensive rebound to put the Thunder back up by a bucket with 13.1 to go. On the play, Jusuf Nurkic got nailed by an elbow from Paul George – possibly a flagrant foul but certainly a foul of some sort.

  • Jusuf Nurkic's double-double exemplifies Trail Blazers' team-first, multi-threat approach

In fact, Nurkic was the most effective Trail Blazer in Charlotte on Sunday, finishing with the highest plus/minus of the team with a +21. Nurkic led the charge in scoring for the Blazer starters with 26 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field, along with his 15 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block. He did not end up recording a triple-double, but it was Nurkic's 12th game with 20+ points and 10+ rebounds.

  • Hood breaks out of slump, lifts Blazers past Hornets 118-108

Nicolas Batum said the Hornets' game plan was to stop Portland's backcourt tandem of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. Hood broke out of a shooting slump with a season-high 27 points - all in the second half - and Jusuf Nurkic added 26 points and 15 rebounds to help the Trail Blazers beat Charlotte 118-108 on Sunday. The biggest thing I did the second half was not think as much as I have,' said Hood, who was acquired in a trade from Cleveland last month.

  • Report: Portland buyer at trade deadline, first-round pick “in play”

The Portland Trail Blazers are good: Damian Lillard is having another All-NBA level season, C.J. McCollum is a high-quality scorer, and Jusuf Nurkic has stepped up his game of late. At 32-20, Portland would have home court in the first round of the playoffs if they started today. When teams start trapping Lillard and McCollum, can Portland counter and make teams pay?
