  • Clippers owner Steve Ballmer: ‘I think we got higher expectations on us than the long, hard five, six years of absolute crap like the 76ers put in’

The Clippers will probably miss the playoffs in a loaded Western Conference. Ballmer also vowed that the Clippers won’t tank to get a better draft pick. The 76ers missed the playoffs five straight seasons, but they emerged from that self-inflicted drought with two franchise cornerstones – Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons – and multiple other helpful pieces.

  • 'Some expect' Ben Simmons to start shooting righty, but the 76ers star isn't one of them

In an age when NBA players are posting workout videos to Instagram and their trainers have become must-follows on Twitter, we wonder why we haven’t seen Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons tirelessly working on the jump shot that proved a major flaw in his game during the Eastern Conference finals. Maybe Simmons is finally considering a switch from his wayward southpaw jumper to a potentially more accurate right-handed shot. In his latest newsletter, New York Times scribe Marc Stein went in depth on the league’s best left-handers, and within was this nugget: “some expect” Simmons to go “all righty this season.” Now, “some” is awfully vague.

  • Should Ben Simmons shoot right handed? He doesn't seem to think so

For those sharing the conspiracy theory that Ben Simmons should be shooting with his right hand, prepare to be disappointed. The Rookie of the Year appeared to shoot down the notion on Twitter, commenting on a story suggesting the Sixers' point guard is shooting with the wrong hand. This story stemmed from a piece by The New York Times basketball writer Marc Stein, but questions of the 22-year-old's handedness were first posted by Kevin O'Connor - formerly of SB Nation now with The Ringer.
