  • Paul George says he talked to Nike about his shoes after Zion Williamson injury

    The basketball community lost its collective mind on Wednesday night when Duke Blue Devils star Zion Williamson was injured after blowing out a pair of Nike basketball shoes in a rivalry game against the University of North Carolina. Williamson's injury was such that shares of Nike actually fell come Thursday. Of course Williamson was wearing Paul George's signature shoe when he experienced the blowout, which apparently prompted the Oklahoma City Thunder star to contact Nike about it.

  • Westbrook extends triple-double streak in Thunder's loss to Pelicans

    Russell Westbrook was good but the Oklahoma City Thunder fell to the New Orleans Pelicans 131-122 in the NBA on Thursday. Westbrook scored a season-high 44 points on 18-of-30 shooting while adding 14 rebounds and 11 assists in his NBA-record 11th straight triple-double. The Thunder, though, trailed by three points at the half and did not come out of the locker room very well as New Orleans opened up a 12-point lead going into the fourth quarter.

  • Russell Westbrook passed Gary Payton to become Thunder's all-time scoring leader

    Westbrook dropped a season-high 44 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists in the Oklahoma City Thunder's 131-122 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center, which made him the all-time leading scorer in Thunder/Seattle SuperSonics history. His 40-point triple-double on Thursday was the 12th of his career, too. He's now tied with James Harden for the second-most in NBA history.
