  • James and the Giant Breach

The Lakers now have seven players on their injury report with most of them out for the year. Kyle Kuzma (foot) is still questionable after missing Sunday in a 130-102 win against the Pelicans. Reggie Bullock (foot) is also probable with his plantar fascia issue after playing just 23 minutes.

  • Lakers ride Kuzma's hot 3rd to beat Kings 111-106

After being eliminated from playoff contention, there has been plenty of discussion about how the Los Angeles Lakers should use LeBron James for the rest of the season. For James, there is no debate. James had 29 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, Kyle Kuzma scored 21 of his 29 points in the third quarter and the Lakers ended a five-game losing streak with a 111-106 win over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night.

  • LeBron James points to Lakers' youth for struggles: 'Unfair to them to ask for so much'

Much has been made of the Los Angeles Lakers swoon that has LeBron James on track to miss the playoffs for the first time since 2005. When looking to blame the players on the court, much of the ire has been directed at the team's young core players — Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart, none of whom have more than three years of NBA experience. After James suffered a groin injury on Christmas, the Lakers became very much dependent on those young players — and the results have looked much like what should be expected from a team without veteran leadership on the court.

When it happened, Kyle Kuzma was in a lot of pain. In the fourth quarter of the Lakers' loss to the Clippers, was cutting off the ball, received a pass, planted his right foot, and his ankle rolled. Kuzma went to the ground in pain, then gingerly walked off the court and headed straight to the locker room.
