  • Lakers sign Carroll after summer league showing

    A day after signing former Final Four Most Outstanding Player Joel Berry II, the team announced Thursday it signed Jeffrey Carroll and requested waivers on Malik Newman. While terms of Carroll's deal were not announced, it was reported last month that the team was likely to sign him to an Exhibit 10 contract. In 118 career games (77 starts) for Oklahoma State from 2014-18, Carroll averaged 12.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 25.1 minutes per game.

The Lakers actually signed Berry shortly after he went undrafted in June, but he did not play in the Summer League because of an ankle injury.
