But one NBA star took it a step further, rocking custom Tiger-themed shoes for a playoff game on Sunday night. Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul put up 14 points and seven assists in their win over the Utah Jazz, and he did so while wearing furry tiger-striped shoes: According to TMZ Sports, Paul credits Woods for getting him into golf years ago and they've played together several times, most notably during the Wyndham Championship pro-am in 2015.

    The Portland Trail Blazers were one of 17 teams around the NBA that finished the 2018-19 regular season with identical records as another team. After beating the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday in their regular season finale, the Blazers finished the year with a 53-29 record while the Houston Rockets also concluded their season with a 53-29 record. On Friday, the NBA conducted draft pick tiebreakers in New York and it was Portland who walked away victorious.

  • Thunder star Paul George 'day to day' for Blazers series

    Oklahoma City Thunder coach Billy Donovan was non-committal on Paul George's chances of playing in Game 1 of the first-round Western Conference playoff series against the Portland Trail Blazers. George reaggravated a shoulder injury from six weeks ago in Tuesday's 112-111 victory over the Houston Rockets and missed Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Milwaukee Bucks. It remains to be seen if the six-time NBA All-Star will be available for Sunday's opener in Portland as coach Donovan said George is "day to day".
