  • NBA Buzz: The Bulls look like the best bet on the board

Apparently, whoever was involved in setting the summer over-under win total for NBA teams made a big mistake, which means a great opportunity for Bulls fans to make some easy money. The Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas set the Bulls' win total for the 2018-19 season at 27.5, which is just a half game more than they won last season while suffering through a myriad of injuries and ever changing line-up combinations. Add in a full summer and training camp for a fully healthy Zach LaVine, and improved chemistry for the trio of LaVine, Kris Dunn and Lauri Markkanen, and even the most pessimistic NBA analyst would project the Bulls to win 30 games minimum.

  • Zach LaVine dishes on free agency, defense, and his plan to lead the Bulls back to glory: 'I want to be great'

The chaos of restricted free agency never truly reached Zach LaVine's feet, as the guard was too busy working in the Seattle area, strengthening his body and hitting the court to continue the evolution of his game. "The offer sheet happened and thank God the Bulls matched it. LaVine sat down with NBCSportsChicago for an exclusive interview days after his deal was finalized-and one day after he welcomed to Chicago a new teammate, fellow 2014 draftmate Jabari Parker.

  • Bulls match 4-year contract offer for Zach LaVine

Zach LaVine is staying in Chicago, with one of the biggest deals of free agency this summer now complete. The Bulls on Sunday formally matched the four-year, $80 million offer sheet LaVine signed with the Sacramento Kings, a move that was expected almost from the instant the restricted free agent got the offer. LaVine is one of only six free agents to get deals worth that much so far this summer, joining Chris Paul ($160 million), LeBron James ($153 million), Nikola Jokic ($148 million), Paul George ($137 million) and Aaron Gordon ($80 million).

  • Zach LaVine's contract: Dollars, cents and common sense

The immediate shock and awe emanating from the NBA twitter world after Zach LaVine signed his $78 million offer sheet with the Sacramento Kings was only met by the collective head-shaking when the Chicago Bulls quickly matched it. There's the Bulls, doing things only the Bulls would do, matching an offer in a depressed market when they held all the leverage. While the Bulls aren't at a bad place with their rebuild, with a better than average trove of young players and a decent amount of cap space for the future, anything the Bulls do will bring about a healthy amount of skepticism.
