  • Wizards hope meeting between superstar backcourt can jumpstart Bradley Beal's playoff production

With an 0-2 deficit in their first-round playoff series against the Raptors, Wizards head coach Scott Brooks called for a meeting with his two All-Star guardsonce his team returned to Washington. Brooks met with John Wall and Bradley Beal, hoping to solve an issue that plagued them particularly in Game 2, a blowout loss. Brooks is intent on getting more out of Beal offensively and since Wall is the quarterback of their offense, it made sense to have him present.

  • Wizards need Bradley Beal to be better to have chance in series with Raptors

The Bradley Beal who dominated the Raptors during the regular season, the guy who made the All-Star team and was the Wizards' best player for much of the year was just not the same for the first two games of Washington's first round playoff series with Toronto. Beal was fine in the Wizards' Game 1 loss, but just fine. This is a guy who averaged 28.8 points against the Raptors through four regular season games.

  • Can Bradley Beal get his groove back? John Wall, coach Brooks think so

It hasn’t been pretty for Bradley Beal through two 2018 playoff games: 14 points per game average on 39.3 percent shooting overall and 27.3 percent from three. Worst of all, he has been on the court through two games the Wizards have been outscored by 31.4 points per 100 possessions by the Raptors. There are a lot of things Washington needs to do better on their home court to turn this series around, but at the top of the list is to get Bradley Beal going.

  • Game 1 showed how much Wizards need a healthy Otto Porter to win vs. Raptors

Otto Porter has demonstrated a knack for playing through and ultimately getting past injuries this season and the Wizards now need that to be the case more than ever. In the Wizards' Game 1 loss against the Raptors, Porter looked hobbled by the injury, especially after landing awkwardly on his right leg early in the first quarter. Otto Porter was a gametime decision and he may have tweaked his right leg injury on this play.
