Kawhi Leonard Return Update: Could Injured Star Leave Spurs after Tony Parker's Comments?
Kawhi Leonard could leave the San Antonio Spurs because of the way he’s been treated by his teammates, according to former Spur Stephen Jackson. The 2014 NBA Finals MVP has not played since January and a return from his injury is in serious doubt after Tony Parker's comments, Jackson said. The Spurs point guard said the quad injury he suffered during last year’s playoffs was “a hundred times worse” than the one afflicting Leonard. “I know the type of person Tony is," Jackson said earlier this week, while making an appearance on Fox Sports 1.

Tony Parker: My quad injury 100 times worse than Kawhi Leonard’s
Tony Parker reportedly led a players-only meeting in which Spurs implored Kawhi Leonard to return. Leonard injured his quad last season, has played just nine games this season and remains sidelined. The Spurs have reportedly cleared him, but he got second opinions and is waiting for his medical team to clear him.

Report: Spurs held players-only meeting imploring Kawhi Leonard to play
Gregg Popovich’s thinly veiled attempt to pressure Kawhi Leonard into playing apparently had an effect – on Leonard’s Spurs teammates. The San Antonio Spurs held a players-only meeting to implore All-NBA forward Kawhi Leonard to return to the lineup and help the team in its push for the playoffs, league sources told ESPN. Spurs guard Tony Parker, a four-time NBA champion, quarterbacked the meeting with his teammates and Leonard after Saturday night’s victory over Minnesota, league sources said.

Spurs await Leonard's possible return against Thunder
Without Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard for much of the season, the San Antonio Spurs have found a way to do much more than tread water. With Paul George and Carmelo Anthony added to superstar Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City has struggled to even stay afloat as the Thunder's offense has stagnated with its new look.
