  • Paul Pierce: Doc Rivers changed policy after blowing Tim Duncan free agency

Bowen’s story was that Duncan had a fairly simple request, and when Rivers refused, that’s when the Orlando Magic lost their chance to pair Duncan with Tracy McGrady and Grant Hill. Now, Hill has confirmed that story as a first hand witness.

  • Aaron Gordon is out of the Slam Dunk Contest, and Donovan Mitchell is in

Aaron Gordon’s hip injury means Donovan Mitchell will take his air show to Staples Center this All-Star Weekend. Sadly, the third time won’t be the charm for Aaron Gordon. The Orlando Magic forward, who finished second to Zach LaVine in the 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Contest in one of the greatest battles in the competition’s history before turning in an underwhelming performance in New Orleans, was set to make his third straight appearance in the event later this month.

  • Porter, Wizards ease to 115-98 victory over Magic

If the Washington Wizards are missing All-Star point guard John Wall, they certainly aren't showing it. Washington won its fourth straight game while Wall is sidelined because of a knee injury, pounding the Orlando Magic 115-98 on Saturday night. Tomas Satoransky, who replaced Wall in the starting lineup, had a career-high 19 points, six assists and wasn't needed in the fourth quarter after helping the Wizards blow open the game in the third.

  • Wizards blast Magic to tie a season-high with four straight wins behind Tomas Satoransky's career night

The Washington Wizards beat the Orlando Magic 115-98 on Saturday night. Streak continues: The Wizards are all of a sudden unstoppable and they are doing it without their best player. On Saturday, they again earned a thoroughly impressive win without John Wall and again with unusually generous and crisp ball movement.
