    The Oklahoma City Thunder won't bring back television play-by-play announcer Brian Davis next season, the team announced this week. Davis was suspended for Game 1 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs for an on-air comment he made during the team's regular-season finale. During that game, against Memphis, Davis said point guard Russell Westbrook was "out of his cotton-pickin' mind" after Westbrook tallied an assist en route to averaging a triple-double for the second consecutive season.

  • Report: Big Baby charged with felony assault in nightclub altercation

    TMZ.com reported Wednesday that ex-Celtic Glen "Big Baby" Davis has been charged with felony assault after being arrested in West Hollywood last month, and could be sentenced to seven years in prison if convicted. According to the Web site, Davis was involved in an altercation outside a night club in which the alleged victim "was hospitalized with several major injuries including facial fractures, a broken tooth and broken ribs." The official charge reportedly is felony assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, which carries a possible seven-year sentence. Davis, 32, broke into the NBA as a rookie with the Celtics' 2007-08 championship season.

    Oklahoma City Thunder big man Steven Adams was apparently cruising Instagram Sunday when he came across this post asking who was the most valuable among thunder players Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony and Adams. Adams appeared to have an opinion on the matter. Adams seemed to realize his mistake overnight and reached out to Thunder public relations staff early Monday to explain himself, ESPN reports.
