The Minnesota Timberwolves know Butler's impact goes well beyond his shooting, and it showed again against Brooklyn. Butler scored 21 points, Karl-Anthony Towns had 16 points and 19 rebounds for his NBA-leading 43rd double-double and Minnesota beat the Nets 111-97 on Saturday night.

  • Timberwolves coast to fifth straight win

    Jimmy Butler, Jeff Teague and Karl-Anthony Towns combined for 66 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves breezed to a 120-103 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers Sunday night at the Target Center. Butler scored 24 points, Teague 22 and Towns 20. Butler had five rebounds and four assists, Towns grabbed 11 rebounds and Teague dished out eight assists for the Timberwolves, who shot .544 on the way to their fifth straight win.

  • Towns goes off as Timberwolves pound Pelicans

    Karl-Anthony Towns scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as the Minnesota Timberwolves continued their dominance of the New Orleans Pelicans in a 116-98 victory Saturday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The Timberwolves (25-16) won the two previous meetings, both of which were played in New Orleans, by scores of 108-94 (Nov. 1) and 120-102 (Nov. 29). The Pelicans (19-19) had won their last three road games by a combined 39 points.
