  • Riding Wade's wave, Heat snap 5-game losing streak

A quiet night for Dwyane Wade on the stat sheet still produced plenty of loud moments in his first game back with the Heat. Wade received a standing ovation when he entered the game off the bench in the first quarter and the crowd roared when he came up with a key block late in the game. There were other moments throughout as Wade's mere presence got a rise out of Heat fans, and teammates Hassan Whiteside and Tyler Johnson led the way to a 91-85 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday that snapped a five-game losing streak and capped a celebratory night. "It felt like a playoff game," Whiteside said. "The fans were in an uproar. It felt like a playoff game and Miami was just rocking. It

  • Richardson's layup lifts Heat past Jazz, 103-102

The last Miami play was designed by Heat coach Erik Spoelstra to put the ball in Josh Richardson's hands, and with it came the right to decide who would take his team's biggest shot of the game. He chose himself. It was the right call. Richardson's layup with 5.1 seconds left capped a Miami rally from eight points down in the fourth, Donovan Mitchell missed a jumper for Utah at the buzzer and the Heat simply stole one in the final moments to beat the Utah Jazz 103-102 on Sunday. "He drew it up for me and I was kind of surprised," Richardson said. So surprised, in fact, that Richardson emerged from that huddle telling Wayne Ellington and Tyler Johnson to get ready for his pass. But a lane opened

  • Richardson's late basket lifts Heat over Jazz

The Miami Heat rallied late in the fourth quarter to post their fourth consecutive win, beating the Utah Jazz 103-102 on Sunday afternoon in Miami on guard Josh Richardson's short jumper with five seconds remaining. After a timeout, rookie guard Donovan Mitchell missed a 20-footer from the right wing for the Jazz as time expired. Guards Goran Dragic and Tyler Johnson scored 16 points each to lead six Miami players in double figures as the Heat (22-17) recovered from a flat third quarter to sweep the two-game season series with the Jazz (16-24) for the first time since the 2008-09 season.

  • Mission or madness? Inside the Heat's quest to win without a superstar

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra talks with guard Tyler Johnson, who has a four-year, $50 million contract. BOSTON – The praise comes from the coach’s box, from the locker rooms, from opponents who have to contend with a relentless, disciplined Miami Heat team every night.
