  • Friday's Sports In Brief

Tiger Woods waited 12 years to get back to Riviera and lasted only two days. Patrick Cantlay ran off three straight birdies toward the end of his morning round, starting with a tap-in on the par-3 sixth when he missed a hole-in-one by a fraction of an inch, and shot a 69. Sam Saunders was also at 7-under after making back-to-back birdies until it was too dark to continue.

  • Damian Lillard drops 44, he and Blazers outduel Kevin Durant’s 50 point night

Kevin Durant has had five 50 point games in his career, but not as a Warrior. The win matters to Portland because with it the Blazers become the six seed in the West — but still just one game up on the nine-seed Clippers (who also won on Wednesday).

  • How Iman Shumpert became reason DeAndre Jordan to Cleveland fell apart

As late as the morning of the NBA Trade deadline a week ago, I continued to hear from sources what other reporters had said for days — the Cavaliers were still in serious talks with the Los Angeles Clippers about bringing in DeAndre Jordan, and the sides were trying to find a third team to make it work. Cleveland needed a roster shakeup to inject energy into a stale lineup, they needed defense, and Jordan would bring both. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN detailed how Altman went from going hard at Jordan to a more radical plan.

  • Clippers put 7 in double figures, beat Nets 114-101

If this is what the Los Angeles Clippers can do by keeping it simple, imagine the possibilities once they know their plays. Lou Williams scored 20 points, DeAndre Jordan had 16 points and 17 rebounds, and they got plenty of help from a balanced lineup in a 114-101 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night. Los Angeles put seven players in double figures and shot 56.5 percent from the field in its fourth win in five games, bouncing back nicely from a loss in Philadelphia.

  • NBA DFS Picks for February 12

Now that the league has had a weekend to fully digest the trade deadline, it feels as though the dust has finally settled. All those trades, as well as a few injuries, have changed the dynamics of some teams, and Monday’s six-game slate is a good one

  • DeAndre Jordan at center of multiple battles

DeAndre Jordan says he didn’t stress Thursday’s trade deadline, which passed with him – despite frequent rumors and maybe a close call with the Cavaliers – remaining on the Clippers. “They were talking about trading me for three years, so I don’t really care about it anymore,” Jordan said. Do you feel wanted by the Clippers?

  • Embiid has 29, Sixers use late run to beat Clippers, 112-98

Midway through the fourth quarter of the Philadelphia 76ers' 112-98 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, Joel Embiid had an ugly fall and took a seat at the end of the bench. 'I think me and about 20,000 people held our breaths for the entire time,' guard T.J. McConnell said. 'Joe is very dramatic,' Redick said.

Joel Embiid scored 29 points and swept 16 rebounds in leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 112-98 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. It was the eighth straight game that Embiid produced a double-double. JJ Redick and T.J. McConnell added 17 apiece for the Sixers, and Ben Simmons had 14 points and 10 assists.

  • Sixers on roll as they host Clippers

It remains unclear as to whether Markelle Fultz, the Philadelphia 76ers' rookie guard, will play at all this season. It seems increasingly unlikely that another Sixers rookie, guard/forward Ben Simmons, will play in next Sunday's All-Star Game in Los Angeles. The Sixers, however, are playing some of their best ball of the season heading into Saturday's home game against another hot team, the Los Angeles Clippers.

  • Embiid, Saric lead Sixers to easy win over Pelicans

Joel Embiid scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, and Dario Saric had 24 points and four 3s as the Philadelphia 76ers rolled 100-82 over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night. Embiid, a game-time decision with a sore ankle, hit his first six shots from the floor and scored 16 points in the first quarter, two more than the Pelicans, as the Sixers led by 18 after a quarter. Nikola Mirotic drove in for what looked like a layup at the first-half buzzer, but Embiid swatted it away as the horn sounded with the Sixers up 56-41.
