  • Rumor: NBA executives think Rockets have shot at signing LeBron James

LeBron James is now rumored to be headed to about 29 NBA teams this summer when he can opt out of his current contract and become a free agent. Earlier this week, we heard rumblings that LeBron could be interested in sharing a Los Angeles Lakers roster with Dallas Mavericks center-at-large Nerlens Noel. Now we’re hearing that NBA executives think the Houston Rockets have a chance of nabbing The King in the summer of 2018.

  • Mavericks center Noel out indefinitely after thumb surgery

DALLAS (AP) -- Dallas Mavericks center Nerlens Noel has undergone surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb, and there is no timetable for his return. The 6-foot-11 Noel last played Nov. 22 at Memphis, but the injury wasn't revealed until before

  • Nerlens Noel to undergo surgery and should be back in time for the trade deadline

There’s been another twist in the twisted script that’s been Nerlens Noel’s 2017-18 season. The Dallas Mavericks center will undergo surgery and miss 4-6 weeks to repair the ligament he tore in his left thumb earlier this season, according to Dallas Morning News beat reporter Eddie Sefko. The news came before the Mavericks’ loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, the same week Noel made headlines upon grabbing a hot dog from the media room at halftime of Saturday’s game.

  • Nerlens Noel totally wasn't sending a message with that halftime hot dog, you guys

Here’s how well things are going for Nerlens Noel: the most notable thing about his 2017-18 season is that he has been compelled to address why he hit the media room at halftime of the Dallas Mavericks’ Saturday afternoon game against the Los Angeles Clippers to grab a hot dog. Nerlens Noel on his halftime trip to grab a hot dog from the media room: “I needed some energy for the second half.” he was the only Maverick with a DNP. Nerlens Noel visited the media dining room at halftime to get a hot dog.

  • Mavericks' Noel to face former team Sixers

Dallas Mavericks center Nerlens Noel will face his old team, the Philadelphia 76ers, on Saturday night and it's not unfair to ask what comes as more of a surprise eight months later: that his old club appears to be on the better trajectory, or that Noel hasn't made a lasting impact with his new club? Both teams have just one win on the season entering Saturday night's game at the American Airlines Center, but Philadelphia (1-4) finally seems to be trending in the right direction with up-and-coming stars Joel Embiid and the exciting Ben Simmons. The Sixers are a heartbreaking, buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Houston's Eric Gordon on Wednesday from coming into Dallas looking for a third consecutive win.
