  • Mavericks clip Kings, end 5-game losing streak

    Harrison Barnes scored 20 points and Dennis Smith Jr. added 19 to lead the visiting Dallas Mavericks to a 103-97 win over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night at Arco Arena. Skal Labissiere had 19 points to lead the Kings, who have lost three of four. Dallas snapped a five-game losing streak by holding Sacramento to 40.9 percent shooting from the floor, including 26.1 percent from 3-point range.

    Dallas Mavericks forward Harrison Barnes didn't see the group of protesters making their way to Golden1 Center for a second round of protests Tuesday. Outside the arena, demonstrators gathered to protest the March 18 fatal police shooting of Stephon Clark, an unarmed 22-year-old black man who was in his grandparents' backyard. It was the second time in six days that protesters forced a lockdown at Golden1 Center.

Jonas Valanciunas added five free throws in the final 10.7 seconds to ice the win for Toronto (52-17), which recorded its 11th straight win and has the top record in the Eastern Conference. Harrison Barnes had 27 points for the Mavericks, who had opened a four-game trip with a 110-97 win at New York on Tuesday.
