  • Valentine, Mirotic help Bulls top Magic for 7th straight win

The Chicago Bulls' offense has exploded with Nikola Mirotic back in the lineup. Denzel Valentine had 16 points and 10 rebounds, Mirotic had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and the Bulls beat the Orlando Magic 112-94 on Wednesday night for their seventh straight win. Chicago had lost 10 straight without Mirotic prior to his return from a facial fracture Dec. 8 and hasn't lost since to improve to 10-20.

  • Bulls will take things slowly with Lauri Markkanen's back spasms

In this season of whatever this will be for the Bulls, the only certainty is the uncertainty in which they will march toward the bottom of the standings in hopes of obtaining a high lottery pick. Last year, only one starting spot was up for grabs and the Bulls did everything they could to hand it to Nikola Mirotic, but it’s the opposite this time around as only one spot seems to be nailed down in the form of Robin Lopez at center. The spirit of competition was initiated by Bulls Executive Vice-President John Paxson and reiterated by head coach Fred Hoiberg, who after games in his first two years often lamented lackluster efforts against lesser opponents. “It’s really just play as hard as you can when you’re out there,” second-year guard Denzel Valentine said.

  • Report: Rajon Rondo agrees to one-year deal with Pelicans

Try telling Antonio Blakeney that Summer League doesn't matter.  The guard's strong play in Las Vegas over the last week earned him a Two-Way contract with the Bulls, meaning he can play for both the G League's Windy City Bulls and in the NBA. Blakeney, 20, has appeared in four Summer League games, averaging 16.8 points, five rebounds and just under one steal per contest. It's pretty safe to say that he's been one of the squad's few bright spots in Sin City. While fellow guard Denzel Valentine has struggled to find his shooting rhythm, connecting on under 30 percent from the field this summer, Blakeney has shot 43.8 percent.  He didn't come out of nowhere, though. Blakeney had tons of hype out
